"Think simple" as my old master used to say - meaning reduce the whole of its parts into the simplest terms, getting back to first principles.
In a way, the history of jazz's development is a small mirror of classical music's development through the centuries. Now jazz is a living form of original music, while classical music has gotten to the end of its cycle in terms of exploring its form.
I think in terms of family, in terms of relationships, in terms of work, competition to be the favorite, to be the noticed, to be the one - I do not know if it exists for all personalities, but I know for sure it did with me.
Life must be considered sui generis; it is not a form of energy, nor can it be expressed in terms of something else.
